Mary Swartz Rose Papers 1911-1941.

Mary Swartz Rose, a pioneer in the academic study of nutrition, was professor of nutrition at Teachers College, columbia University from 1910 to 1940. While encouraging scientific inquiry in nutrition, she eagerly applied the fruits of research in the field to practice. The collection primarily consists of publications collected by Rose and her own publicationws and writings. The collection also includes a small number of letters written to Rose, a section of Rose's subject or research files, and a series of photographs.
